Modern Moroccan Lantern Passenger Lift received a lot of attention at the recent exhibition iKONIC Lifts attended in London. One visitor had been looking for the company that designed it and required a similar service so we thought we would produce this post.

This Passenger lift was installed into a super-prime £125m property in the heart of London, by iKONIC Lifts engineers. The Moroccan Lantern lift rides up the center of four floors, featuring a circular lift car with a glass ceiling which allows for the stunning views of London’s sky to be enjoyed by the passengers as it elevates to the top of the property.
The lift was designed by iKONIC Lifts, so it shows no mechanical workings or electrical wiring, and the finished results are simply stunning which compliments the ambiance of the space and its environment seamlessly. Creating an immersive experience as a passenger and furthermore a fabulous luxurious talking point for the multi-million-pound grade listed building.
iKONIC had to ensure this lift looked stunning but also worked effortlessly, the oval underdriven glazed doors, aged bronze finish design integrated beautifully into the limited space, which our team ensured. The structure was cleverly designed to be used as a conduit for all necessary electrical and mechanical components minimising the visual impact.
Installing a circular lift into a delicate elliptical stone staircase was a significant challenge as the structure of the lift could not transfer any load to the delicate feature staircase in this £125m property.
This bespoke passenger won an award in 2020 naming iKONIC Lifts as the best bespoke elevator company in the UK for design and engineering.
